The Bluegrass Foundation’s first full year of supporting 88.5 HD2 Bluegrass Country is near. Becoming independent was a big change from our 50 year history . I’m proud to say we’ve kept our commitment to traditional bluegrass music and explored ways to reach a larger listener base through new programs.
We’ve had several on-air fundraisers, raising over $150,000 from more than 700 of our dedicated fans, with more growth to come. We are actively partnering with new Bluegrass Country sponsors and underwriters. Our Washington radio signal at 88.5 HD2 covers more of the Washington listening area than the old 101.5 low powered signal. And our on-line stream and mobile apps are all trending up each month.
On behalf of the Foundation, our thanks to each of you and your financial donations, large and small. There will be still more on-air fundraisers in 2018, since we are still in our financial infancy. Although we have a 50-year legacy, we’re still learning as a one-year old independent bluegrass station. We are working to deserve your support on behalf of bluegrass fans everywhere.
Thanks for your support. Happy New Year to Bluegrass Fans everywhere!
